Step by Step Guide For Enabling Multi Factor Authentication with Acceptto
Step 1: Download Acceptto Mobile App
If you don't have an Acceptto account and Acceptto mobile application, Download our app and register a new account on it:
Step 2: Install Our Wordpress Plugin
You can go to add plugin section of your Wordpress admin panel and search for Acceptto as you can see in this screenshot:
Click on the "Install Now" button.
Step 3: Activate the plugin
After Installation, Click on the "Activate Plugin" link.
Step 4: Sign In with your account on our Web Dashboard
Go to our Dashboard Login and Sign In with the account you registered on Acceptto's mobile app. Then go to Applications page:
Click on the new application button. It will take you to new application page, for each
application you want to integrate with Acceptto you should create an application here.
Set the name of application to whatever you like for example: My Wordpress Web site.
Set the redirect uri to http://your_domain_name.com for example for our showcase
website we set it to http://wordpress.acceptto.com.
Set the color to whatever you like, this is the color band user will see next to your application name in Acceptto mobile app.
Click in the Create Application button, Now your application is created and you can copy
Secret, API Host from here:
Copy the UID, Secret and API hostname of your application from here.
Step 5: Open Plugin Settings
Go back to your Wordpress admin panel and click on plugins and then click on Acceptto plugin settings
Step 6: Configure Plugin
In Plugin settings you should specify UID, Secret and API Hostname. Paste the values you copied from Step 4
In Enable for roles you can specify which roles you want to allow to use Multi Factor Authentication. By default all roles are selected.
Finally click on the "Save Changes" button.
Step 7: Enable Multi Factor Login For User
Now you can enable multi factor authentication for any user you want, just click on the "Users" menu and then edit your own user for example.
You can see on the bottom of the page that a new field is added to user info "Acceptto Email".
If you set this field to your Acceptto email address which you registered on Acceptto mobile app, Your account will be multi factor enabled.
Set the email address and click on "Update Profile" button. All users can edit their profile and set their Acceptto email for multi factor authentication.
Now sign out of Wordpress and try to sign in again. You will be taken to Multi Factor Authentication page of Acceptto to choose whatever authentication method you want.
